About

360° of Opera is a platform I founded in 2016, looking to bring to light all aspects of the art form, especially those that get lost in the background. This idea originated as I was listening to highlights of Wagner’s Ring Cycle at Carnegie Hall. I was transported and really let my mind wander and go places where I had not really let it go before. Since I started in this field, I have been fascinated by every little corner of what happens in the theater, before, during and after a show, in order to bring opera to life. I realized that there had to be a way for me to share my passion for all of this with everyone else. This is just the beginning of what I hope will be a positive contribution to innovation in opera, community outreach, journalism  & music education.

With a fan base of over 28K followers across continents, 360° of Opera has grown beyond my wildest dreams and continues to evolve, with regular guest contributors, exciting collaborations, live interviews and new partnerships. Please follow 360° of Opera on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook under @360OfOpera. You can now read the blog on this website & you can watch our video interviews on YouTube.

Please enjoy, share and do not hesitate to contact us for collaborations, marketing and sponsored content inquiries

Thank you for being here! I’m a French-Argentinean (she/her) mezzo-soprano & actor based in NYC… though I much prefer the nomad life and you can usually (pandemic aside) find me traveling around the world, getting in all sorts of opera trouble ;)

Opera found me and I never looked back. However, for me, opera does not live in a precious, sacred bubble. It coexists with many other interests that inform the way I live and breathe opera on a daily basis. Welcome to 360° of Opera. Welcome to my world. All are welcome and I encourage a detail oriented, yet big picture vision of what opera is and can be.

Avi Green

  • Contributor

  • Opera Pub Quiz Host

Avi Green (she/her) is an American-Israeli Mezzo-Soprano, based in London. Avi’s repertoire includes Charlotte (Werther - Massenet), Baba the Turk (The Rake’s Progress - Stravinsky). She recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music.

In addition to her singing, and AA Opera, Avi is involved with making opera accessible to audiences new and old through video content on her YouTube Channel (Avi Green), where she shares her experiences and other fun opera content. You may recognize her face from the Opera PubQuiz, which she started back on her own channels when the pandemic took off, now it’s a recurring segment on 360° of Opera's IG page.

When Avi is not behind some new sheet music or creating content, she is most likely sitting with a cup of tea and enjoying a good book or anything to do with history (especially costuming).

Diego Valdez

  • Photography Contributor

Diego Valdez (he/his) is a tenor from sunny El Paso, TX who is currently based in Brooklyn, NY. He’s been making the rounds in the returning live-music scene out of the pandemic in NYC with his recent performances as Fritz with Teatro Grattacielo’s production of L’amico Fritz , Manfredo in I Vespri Siciliani with New Amsterdam Opera, covering Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore with Opera in Williamsburg, and various streamed concerts.

Alongside cultivating his love for classical music and performing, Diego spent time picking up new skills and hobbies (too many hobbies honestly) including photography. Representing and capturing the moments you can see in live theater and the artists who are behind them became more than a passion project, and now he works as a emerging freelance photographer. When he’s not at work with music or photography, you can usually find Diego gaming and learning more about his interests and discovering new hobbies to share with others.
